28 DAY RULE – TRAINING DECLARATION

Please note the below:

Trainer Permit:-
Permitted only to train horses in your own ownership or immediate family (spouse/partner, parents, sons or daughters – NOT nephews, nieces, cousins etc)
Therefore if you hold a Trainer Permit you can only declare horses in training that fit the above. Any horses that do not, will not be accepted in training for that trainer until the ownership is corrected at STAGBI. Registration in training is valid from the date that the ownership transfer is completed at STAGBI.

Licence to Train:-
Permitted to train the same as the above and TWO outside horses.
Each outside horse is subject to payment of a £10 Training Declaration fee. Registration in training is valid from the date that the fee is paid to the BHRC.
The £10 Training Declaration fee is not due for horses that the trainer holding a Licence to Train owns.

Public Trainer:-
Permitted to train any horse for racing under BHRC Rules.
Each outside horse is subject to payment of a £10 Training Declaration fee.
Registration in training is valid from the date that the fee is paid to the BHRC.
The £10 Training Declaration fee is not due for horses that the trainer holding a Public Trainer owns.
