2019 SIRE STAKES WILL BE STAGED AT CORBIEWOOD on 24th & 25th August

Stallions 2019:

    Nominees

    For any horse to be eligible for the Sire Stakes Series:

    1. Stallion must be nominated in the year of covering for horse to be eligible for any and all races in the series.
    2. The mare must be covered or inseminated in the UK or Ireland.
    3. Progeny must be foaled in the UK or Ireland.
    4. All horses must be fully registered prior to any nomination.
    5. All nomination and sustaining payments will only be accepted if received at the BHRC post-marked on or before the due date.
    6. All fees must be made for horses to remain eligible.
    7. The Owner and/or Trainer are responsible for eligibility. No refunds will be made for ineligible horses.
    8. All fees are non-refundable.
    9. All races conducted under BHRC Rules and Regulations.
    10. Colts and Fillies divisions will race separately. Races in the 4YO division may be combined at the Promoters discretion if less than ten horses declare (Fillies to receive preferential draw)
    11. All races limited to track maximum.
    12. Maximum ten horses to qualify for each Final.
    13. In the event there are no Heats, draw position for the straight Final to be determined by ballot.
    14. In the event of Heats, horses will ballot into each Heat (draw position in Heats also determined by this ballot).
    15. In the event of Heats, the fastest heat winners take choice of draw position for Final. Remainder of horses qualifying for Final to be determined by Heat times.
    16. Where Heats are held prize money distribution – 40% to Heats, 60% to Final.
    17. Purse distribution in Heats – 60%-25%-15%.
    18. Purse distribution in Final – 50%-25%-12%-8%-5%.
    19. Horses must be declared to run and drivers must be notified to BHRC at least 14 days prior to first race date (drivers in accordance with section X37 of the BHRC Rules and Regulations).
    20. Horses must meet qualifying standards as laid out in section X9 of the BHRC Rules and Regulations
    21. In the event of only one horse declaring to start, or two horses under the same ownership, provisions will be made in accordance with section X32 of the BHRC Rules and Regulations.

    Includes automatic nomination of all progeny from coverings in year of nomination (i.e. 2020 foals)

    Yearling Sustaining – £20

    Due by 31st March 2019

    2YO Sustaining Fees

    1st Sustaining Fee – £40

    Due by 31st March 2019
    (must be paid to remain eligible for any future Sire Stakes races)

    2nd Sustaining Fee – £60

    Due by 1st June 2019
    (to be paid for horses wanting to race in current year)

    Admission Fee – £30

    Due by 2nd August 2019
    (to be paid for horses declaring to race)

    3YO Sustaining Fees

    1st Sustaining Fee – £40

    Due by 31st March 2019
    (must be paid to remain eligible for any future Sire Stakes races)

    2nd Sustaining Fee – £60

    Due by 1st June 2019
    (to be paid for horses wanting to race in current year)

    Admission Fee – £30

    Due by 2nd August 2019

    4YO Sustaining Fees

    1st Sustaining Fee – £40

    Supplement Fee - £400

    Yearling Supplements

    Yearlings nominated between 1st April and 31st December of Yearling Year
    Supplement Fee – £175

    2YO Supplements

    2YOs that have not paid a Yearling Sustaining or Supplement Fee can be nominated to the series (subject to eligibility)
    2nd Sustaining Fee and Admission Fee in relevant year will also be due for horse to remain eligible to race in 2YO Sire Stakes races
    Supplement Fee – £250
    Due by 31st March
    2YOs that have not paid a Yearling Sustaining, Yearling Supplement or 2YO 1st Sustaining Fee can be nominated to the series (subject to eligibility)
    Admission Fee in the relevant year will also be due for horse to remain eligible to race in 2YO Sire Stakes races
    Supplement Fee – £500
    Due by 1st June

    3YO Supplements

    3YOs that have not paid any previous sustaining or supplement fees can be nominated to the series (subject to eligibility)
    2nd Sustaining Fee and Admission Fee in relevant year will also be due for horse to remain eligible to race in 3YO Sire Stakes races
    Supplement Fee – £250
    Due by 31st March
    3YOs that have not paid any previous sustaining or supplement fees can be nominated to the series (subject to eligibility)
