In light of the extraordinary circumstances of the accident at AVTC and subsequent abandonment of racing, AVTC have asked that the BHRC agree to the timely plan to re-run the final next week under exactly the same conditions as if the race had gone ahead as originally planned. The BHRC agreed to look at this as a ‘one off’, due to the nature of the incident, and to allow the freezing of the handicap marks for the re-run of the final in a weeks time.

They wish to make it clear to all promoters that this is a one off situation.
