It is a sad duty to report that Mr Eifion Cuke a stalwart amongst the West Wales bookmaking fraternity both in harness racing and point to point fixtures has passed away following a long illness. Due to ill health he had not attended meetings regularly over the past five years. Prior to this he was a colourful member of the bookmaking ranks and a staunch supporter of harness racing, sponsoring races and a frequent contributor to the Rasus programme normally with a witty retort and a ready smile. He was also a keen member of Bronwydd Cricket Club.
The funeral will be held in Llanelli Crematorium at 11am on Saturday 4th February and afterwards in Bronwydd Cricket Club, near Carmarthen.
