The family of George Button are sad to inform us of his death on 25th October 2017 at the age of 82 years old . George had been involved in Harness Racing from the mid 1960s to the present . He owned horses all his life and his love for the Sport of Harness Racing stayed with him till the end . Owner of Trotters such as The Saint , Anthanathius, Jobber, Velvet Rhythm, Parioca S , Accravello V who won the Roosevelt in 1971 and Pacers also such as Yenda Rhythm and Staley Thomas who both went to Canada and America . All his major successes were with horses trained and driven by Ian Pimlott . He stayed involved in Trotting through his son George’s association with TROTBritain, and the thrill of going racing and backing a winner never left him . One of life’s great characters , he will be missed by everyone who knew him .
His funeral will be held at St Mary’s Church , Church Road, Stone , Dartford , Kent DA9 9BE at 12 noon on 21st November 2017 .
