In 2016, STAGBI decided to expand on the existing Breeders Premiums, and introduced the British Breeders Bonus. STAGBI will award a Breeders Bonus to the breeders of a British bred winner of specific races. These races will comprise of a 2YO race, 3YO race and aged races. Different races will be chosen anually. In 2016, £2000 was awarded and for 2017, £3000 has been allocated to the British Breeders Bonus Fund.

STAGBI have nominated the following BHRC races for the British Breeders Bonus to be awarded to the Breeder of a STAGBI registered British Bred Winner. The Breeder will receive £500 (*to be split if race split and both colt & filly are eligible) for the following races:

BHRC National Pacing Futurity (2YO) – £500* (to be split if race split)
Breeders Crown UK & Ireland 3YO – £500* (colts & fillies)
Senior Welsh Dragon 4YO – £500
Famous Musselburgh Pace – £500

In addition, STAGBI will also award £100 British Breeders Bonus to the Breeder of a STAGBI registered British Bred Winner of the following races:
Appleby Spring Handicap (Monday) – £100
Ceredigion Handicap Final (Park Lodge) – £100
Tregaron August Handicap Final (Welsh Classic) – £100
Crock Of Gold Final – £100
Billy Williams Free For All – £100
BHRC National Pacing Derby (3YO) – £100
