In 2019, STAGBI have introduced the Heat & Final format for the STAGBI Future Broodmares races.
Amman Valley, York, Tir Prince, Corbiewood and Wolverhampton are the eligible tracks for the series.
Heats – Each track can have up to two races with added money of £750 from STAGBI (minimum first prize £500). There will be an invitational final at the end of the year.
Mares will gain points through the heats and the top 10 mares will be invited to race in the final. Points to be allocated on a basis, if there are 8 mares in the race, 1st = 8 points, 2nd = 7 points, 3rd = 6 points, 4th = 5 points, 5th = 4 points, 6th = 3 points, 7th = 2 points and 8th = 1 point. OR if there are 10 mares then 1st = 10 points, 2nd = 9 points, 3rd = 8 points etc down to 10th = 1 point.
The Final will be held at York on Saturday 12th October 2019.
Final will have NO Entry Fee – Purse of £3400 (2000/600/400/250/150)
The final will include a profile of each mare and the breeder of the winner of the final will receive a £200 Breeders Premium prize (IF a British bred mare)
