STONERIGGS MYSTERY COMPLETES HAT TRICK AND MICK LORD WITH FOUR AT TIR PRINCE
Britain’s best pacer Stoneriggs Mystery completed the hat trick when unextended to lead most of the way in a Crock Of Gold/Battle Of The Big Guns heat at Tir Prince last Saturday night beating a gallant Brywinsmagicpotion who sat parked. It completed a huge night for Mick Lord and Sheelagh Lord who snared four of the nine races.
Before a big holiday crowd, Mystery highlighted a top card that included North Wales Championships for three and four year olds and a pair of Vincent Delaney prep races for the two year olds.
The night started well for “Team Lord” when Desert Rose made it three for three this season in the opener; Rhyds Art beat the boys by a space in the 4YO Championship then Shaba Hanover annexed the 3YO Fillies Championship, beating heavily supported Irish filly Carmel Camden.
In the Colts 3YO division Rewrite History made it eight from nine with a hollow victory while the Vincent Delaney races were won by exciting young colt Party At The Spa and debutante filly Rhyds Snowbird.
A great spectacle, the greys FFA was won narrowly by Wellfield Ghost while Wildcats Supeme led all the way in the Trotters FFA.
Eyes will be on Portmarnock, Dublin next weekend with the second Inter Dominion heat; York race on Sunday and Tir prince hosts the the Breeders Crown the following Tuesday night.
