Nominations are now being invited for the 2017 Battle Of The Big Guns at £500 per horse.
Every horse will be guaranteed FIVE races (entry fee £50 per race)
Ten horses per race (subject to track maximum) for a total purse of £2750 (1st £1400 – 2nd £600 – 3rd £250 – 4th £150 – 5th £100 – 6 to 10th £50) – every horse running will have entry fee returned.
Trophy and Rug Presentation for the highest money earning horse who will be crowned The Big Gun 2017.

The race series has been well supported again for 2017 by promoters and as such this season will see SIX FREE FOR ALL races that will be staged as follows:
May
Monday 29th – Appleby Spring (1m500yds)
July
Monday 31st / Tuesday 1st August – Tir Prince (1mile)
August
Sunday 20th – Bells Field (1¼ mile)
Friday 25th – Tregaron (1m50yds)
October
Sunday 1st – Wolverhampton (1 mile)
Sunday 8th – Amman Valley (1 mile)

Preference for entry will be given to the horses carrying the highest national handicap mark as at close of nominations. Horses after the top 12 will make up a reserve list. In case of drop outs for whatever reason (injury, non-availability) the reserve list will be formed and these horses will be allowed an entry on a pro-rata basis (i.e. if they run in one race they will be expected to pay £100 into the pool, if more than one race the rate will be £100 per race).
