Update from the STEWARDING COMMITTEE

We all knew that the changes to the M9 rule would be difficult, but that voluntary changes were needed before they were imposed on us from external sources. There has been a number of drivers who have had the initial first warning, but with no penalties and although we initially had planned to cease this at the end of June we have discussed it and decided to extend this period to give all drivers a first warning (for the rest of this season) before moving to the penalty system.

We would like to praise the drivers, for working with us. It is clear that you are trying hard to work within the new rules, which even us as stewards are finding challenging at times. However, watching the videos to carry out the retrospective stewarding it is obvious that we are starting to make progress as many races are now being completed without any incident.

On behalf of the stewards we would like to thank you for your co-operation on this matter.
